Resolving Family Conflict

Oct 8, 2016    Dr. Abidan Shah, PhD    The Family, series

We are continuing in our series titled "The Family: Some Dos, Some Don'ts, and Some Who Knows" and we come to the story of Jacob and his uncle, Laban. Laban and Jacob experienced conflict in that Laban was treating Jacob unfairly in making him work to marry Rachel for seven years, and then tricking him into marrying Leah first. He then had to work another seven years for Rachel. The most pronounced aspect of this narrative, however, is its humorous tone. We need to remember that God has a sense of humor and maintain one ourselves, especially when handling conflict. We should also try to keep God's will for our lives in focus and not be distracted by family drama. Is there conflict in your family? How are you handling it? Are you saved?
