God is Working in the Waiting | Lamentations 3:25

Aug 9, 2025

Have you ever found yourself in a season where it seems like nothing is progressing? You’ve prayed, you’ve placed your trust, and you’ve done everything within your power, yet all you feel is silence. The waiting can be draining, and if we’re honest, it can lead us to wonder if God is listening. But He is. He’s at work, even when it’s difficult to notice.

Consider the story of Joseph. He endured immense hardship: betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, and then forgotten for years. On the surface, it may have seemed that his life was at a standstill. However, each moment was preparing him for the future that God had planned for him. Through these trials, God was shaping him, instilling humility, and equipping him for the significant role that awaited him.

Your season of waiting might feel unexciting or even unjust at times. Yet it is precisely in these moments that God is cultivating essential qualities within you—such as patience, trust, and endurance—that you will need for what lies ahead. The silence you experience doesn’t indicate God’s absence; rather, it is often a sign that He is actively working behind the scenes in ways you have yet to comprehend.

So today, instead of asking “When, God?” try asking “What are You doing in me right now?” Trust His timing. Trust His heart. And remember—His delays are never denials.
