God’s Strength in Our Weakness | Psalm 73:26

Dec 6, 2025    Dr. Abidan Shah, PhD

There are days when the weight of life presses harder than usual, when strength feels distant and our hearts feel worn down by everything we’re trying to manage. In those moments, God gently reminds us that our weakness is not the end of the story.

Psalm 73:26 (NKJV) declares, “My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” This verse shifts the focus off our limitations and onto God’s endless strength. It teaches us that even when we feel completely depleted, God remains steady. When we don’t have the energy to push forward, He holds us up. His strength is not temporary or inconsistent—it is forever, always available, always enough.

Relying on God’s strength means letting go of the pressure to be strong all the time. It means admitting when we’re tired, being honest when we're struggling, and trusting that God has the power to carry us through. Our weakness simply becomes the place where His strength shines the brightest.

Today, take a moment to pause and bring your weaknesses before Him. Whatever feels heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming—lay it down. Trust that God’s strength will not only sustain you but also give you peace as you walk through your challenges.
