Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

In the New Testament, Jesus calls his followers to be salt and light. One major way we can be salt and light to our community is through politics. Even before Jesus said the phrase "salt and light", Daniel was using his position of political power to influence his community. Daniel made a statement about his faith and was thrown into the den of lions for it. Just like Daniel we are called to be bold in the proclaiming of our faith. Daniel was persecuted for his faith.
