Our Shepherd King

We normally give shepherds a bad reputation. Many people have always thought of shepherds as dirty, and low. Never have we heard that a shepherd was often the symbol of kingship. Biblically and in the ancient world kings and gods were portrayed as shepherds of their people. Jesus is our true shepherd King. The angels came to the shepherds proclaiming the gospel.
