WHERE WE'RE HEADED

VISION OF OUR CHURCH:
At Clearview Baptist Church, we envision services that are exciting, welcoming and inviting to our guests. Each service should have a high standard of excellence that seeks to glorify God, encourage the saved and draw the lost to Christ.
We envision a music ministry that encompasses all age groups accompanied with a full orchestra.
We envision services at times other than traditional times to meet the needs of those who cannot come due to their work schedules.
We envision a facility(ies) that will be large enough and appropriate to meet the various needs and ministries of Clearview.
We envision on-going special events (on and off campus) intended to draw more people to our church.
We envision a Sunday School that is active and involved in a structured visitation to the sick and the unchurched.
We envision having an adult education program to meet people at the point of their needs with the Word of God and godly examples. This could include such ministries such as crisis pregnancy, parenting, and debt management.
We envision having a children/youth ministry that will teach them the Word of God and help them to make wise choices in life (abstinence and purity). This is to be achieved in a fun-filled environment through godly examples.
We envision Servant evangelism on an ongoing basis to show Christ’s love in a practical way. We envision being on the forefront of helping people during crisis and disasters, both locally and nationally.
We envision sending out career missionaries and church workers all over the world. We envision sending our members on short-term mission projects to every continent.
We envision more lay-led ministries that are taking place both in our buildings and beyond.
We envision having a day care facility that will nurture children and their families in God’s love.
We envision an ongoing ministry to the shut-ins and the elderly so that no one is forgotten.
We envision ongoing evangelism training along with a structured visitation program.
We envision a vibrant prayer ministry.

CORE VALUES OF OUR CHURCH:
1.     We are a Bible believing church that believes in the importance of sound doctrine and the need for a scriptural foundation for our daily life and church.

This is based on the following verse:

Acts 2:42-43   42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

2.     We are a Loving church that encourages one another and genuinely cares about each other’s struggles and trials. Everyone is accepted and feels accepted.

This is based on the following verse:

Acts 2:42  And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:44-46    44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

3.     We value our time of praise and worship to glorify God, encourage the saved and draw the lost to Christ. Our services should be Christ-honoring, joyful, evangelistic and have a high standard of excellence.

This is based on the following verse:

Acts 2:42   And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:47   praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

4.     We value unchurched, lost people and will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win, and disciple them. We are to pray, share, serve and rely upon the Holy Spirit to reach all peoples to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

This is based on the following verse:

Acts 2:40-41    40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Acts 2:47    praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
